Happy New Year 2011: May this new year bring you a lot more happiness, good health and prosperity. Yeah, run more marathons and trek more mountains.

After discussing with a few of the photo kaki, I decided to go to Dataran Merdeka to shoot the year-end fireworks display; while others would go to i-City in Shah Alam or Desa Park in Damansara.

Append below are a few of the photos taken by yours truly – lots of firepower but also lots of smoke.

There are three launching areas: the main one in the centre; another smaller scale on the left and right.
