Apek-Saga Extended Trails

Apek-Saga hills hiking via extended Ah Meng trails on Saturday, 21 April 2018 ... We passed by a big tree, water-gate, Saga hilltop station, and Apek hill Station 6. From start to Saga hilltop station is about 3 hours hiking through two long uphills and two shorter ones; round trip is about 5 hours covering a total distance of about 13km. At Saga hilltop station, there is even a Nature Refuel Station that sells soft drinks, hot drinks and massage service that ease tired muscles.

Gunung Angsi Hike

Hiking at Gunung Angsi on Saturday, 14 April 2018 ... After the previous day's afternoon heavy rain, the ground was damp; the weather on that day was still overcast, superb for outing. My previous hike at Gunung Angsi with RHB Bank colleagues was on 15 Dec 2013, a lapse of almost four years (click here for photos).

The collection of RM5 registration fees at the ranger office within Ulu Bendol recreational park still applies. The visible improvement is the directional markers at fixed interval along the trails leading to the peak. Gunung Angsi is a nice mountain to hike: not too difficult; one can relax in the stream when returning to the trail head; ample car parking space under shade; toilet facilities; choices aplenty for restaurant food in the nearby Seremban town.

Sumptuous late lunch at Seremban Seafood Village restaurant (more food not served yet)
Buying of famous Seremban siew pao at Siew Pao Asia/Master. Well, within our group, we have to line up too. We wanted to go for the famous chendol in Seremban but it was closed.

Apek_Saga Hills Watergate

Hiking at Apek_Saga hills to water-gate on Saturday, 7 April 2018 ... Started at Apek hill, this is an extended trail that connects back to Saga hilltop. Round trip was 14km that took five hours with challenging uphills and downhills. The rain before the start of the hike did not dampen our enthusiasm. Special thanks to Leng and Chai for leading the group.
