Looks like the two participants are on four limbs to ascend the mountain due to the steep slope. When I first trekked up Mt Kinabalu to see sunrise at 2:00 a.m., not able to gauge the steepness of the terrain in darkness, I was also going up like the mountain goats at certain stages ... :-)

When thick clouds hovering across the horizon obstructing viability, the only lifeline is the white rope to lead us in the right direction.
I could imagine the excitement and ecstasy to scale so high up. After seeing this photo, it really motivates me wanting to try harder next year for the Mount Kinabalu Climbathon 2011 challenge. Even these two ladies can go thus far almost arriving at the peak. One of the girls is wearing Kampung aDas shoes !!!! Amazing feat (or feet?). Well done !! Bravo !!!
