Pesta Chap Goh Mei at i-City

Tourists and locals are delighted by a dazzling of light illuminated the night sky over i-City in Shah Alam with laser lights show followed by the spectacular fireworks displays.

It was a stark contrast with the CNY carnival and fireworks held at MPSJ USJ Subang Jay only one week ago. While the atmosphere at the MPSJ was like a neighbourhood type, the Pesta Chap Goh Mei at i-City Shah Alam on Saturday 27 Feb 2010 was somewhat of different mood. There were lots of people there with massive traffic jam leading to i-City.

Thousands and thousands of LED's illuminating the area with a myriad of colours

The Chap Goh Mei Carnival at i-City was organized at a much bigger scale: the event kicked-off with the keynote address presented by Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, Chief Minister of Selangor. It was then followed by performances and songs from the various schools. True to the muhibbah spirits, all the races in Malaysia came here and enjoy an evening of enchanting light displays and spectacular fireworks experiences.

With different shapes and objects

I was amazed with the latest LED lighting technology that the trees glow in different colours when the sun goes down. Each tree or object is illuminated by thousands and thousands of tiny light emitting diodes devices. To enhance the atmosphere, the lighting of the LED is timed to create the effect of motion.
