The Royal London Circus is in Town

After attending the opening show on Wednesday evening, 8 August, I must say that the Royal London Circus is a fantastic show.

It was very entertaining with all the good elements: songs that touch your heart, lively and mood-enhancing music, good sound and light systems, exciting trapeze performance, attractive dancers in attention-grabbing outfits, likeable clown and humour, magic show, adorable animal performances (by elephant, horse, dogs, monkey, birds), and one of the main attractions is the performance by five (yes, 5) motorbike riders in gravity-defying dare-devil spinning stunts inside a metal ball.

.

This is a highly recommended performance ... go watch with your children, parents or friends and enjoy the show.

The whole show lasted for three (3) hours inclusive of 25 minutes interval. It is performed in a huge canopy tent that provides indoor comfort, complete with air-conditioning. During the interval, the children and their parents were busy having photo sessions with the elephant and horse. Just before each photo session, the elephant will raise his trunk for a smart pose … clever har?

I like all the performances. The following ones left vivid impression on me: the energized trapeze performance; the motorbike riders in a metal ball and the delightful hula hoop performance. Normally, the hula hoop will drop to the ground. But in this case, the girl performer is able to shake the hula hoop – without much movement of her body – from ground up to her upper body within second, defying the gravity pull.
.

When was the last time that you went to watch circus show when it was in town? As for me, I could not remember. It must have been more than 10 years.

When I first got the complimentary ticket from one of my friends to the opening show, I was not serious about it. What is so interesting about circus show? Nevertheless, I went. The opening show was on Wednesday, 8/8/2007. I presume the mat salleh, with the local influence, also chose the “fatt fatt” (auspicious) date as the opening date.

The turn out of first evening was quite impressive with about three-quarter of the seats been occupied. Mr. Lee Hwa Beng, State Assemblyman for Subang Jaya, and the Mayor of MPSJ were there to grace the opening show.

Venue:
At Taman Puchong Utama

Start time (week-days): 8:30 p.m.

How to go there:
Travelling along LDP (Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong) from IOI Mall Puchong towards Putrajaya/Cyberjaya direction, Tractors Malaysia is on your left. Proceed about 2 km, make a U-turn at the flyover with the signboard “Bandar Bukit Puchong”. After the U-turn, you will see a row of 3-storey shops on your left. The Circus is located behind the shops with lots of free parking space. Note: if you reach the toll, this means you have overshot by 2 km.
