Spectacular and beautiful - Photos are taken by a friend, Shukri.
It is one of those rare occasions where we get to see fireworks for almost 10 times within two weeks – the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition at Putrajaya. Usually, we only have the chance to see it once or twice a year. After understanding the fault in the camera setting in taking those unsatisfactory photos, we have to wait for another year to correct the mistake. By then, we would have forgotten the settings.
One good reason to support this fireworks competition, as I told my friends, is that I may not live another 50 years for the next 50 Years Celebration in Nationhood.

I am pleased to show you the photos taken by a friend, Shukri. He went to Putrajaya on Wednesday 22 August evening to shoot the fireworks display by Team Australia. Standing along the Putrajaya Boulevard, he was stationed at the opposite end from where I was shooting.
He told me that one of the officers from the Ministry of Tourism, after seeing his photos in the internet, was very impressed and asked him what setting he used for his camera.
