Lata Medang and Lubuk Mecu Waterfalls hike on Saturday, 11 April 2026 ... the waterfalls are located at Kuala Kubu Bharu; trailhead parking shares with Bukit Kutu hike. A RM3 per person fee applies for passing through the Orang Asli village.

Timing:
1. Twisted bridge to Y-fork = 5 min (turn left; go straight to Bukit Kutu);
2. Gunung Rajah Y-fork = 30 min (turn right; keep left to Gunung Rajah; passing by nice campsites and river on the left);
3. Lubuk Mecu Waterfall = 1 hr 15 min;
4. Upper Lata Medang = 10 min (passing by lower Medang).
River crossing is not required.
Many big yellow bees that were attracted to the sweat; but they were not aggressive and did not sting, unless provoked. Maybe this is the season for abundance of bees. One week ago, it was reported of similar encounter at Lepoh Waterfall, Hulu Langat.
