This is Part 2 of the photos album focusing on Mount Bromo (of Mount Semeru, Mt Bromo and Mt Ijen trekking trip, 20-29 July 2013).
On Day3 of trekking, the group returned (from Mount Semeru) to Ranu Pane village again and put up the second night in the same guesthouse.
At 2:00 a.m. the next morning, the group travelled in two 4WD vehicles descending the mountain and arriving at Mount Pananjakan View Point for the spectacular sunrise, and a visit to Mount Bromo which is just nearby.
The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god.

Devotees travel up the mountain to make offerings of fruits, rice, vegetables, flowers and sacrifices of livestock to the mountain gods by throwing them into the caldera of the volcano. Notice people in the inner crater to catch prayer items thrown by the devotees. However, once they slip, they will fall into the volcano !!
