We have an amazing time on the FRIM (Kepong) Crown Shyness nature hike today, Sat 5 Sep 2026. This is nature’s unique creation in the sky where the topmost branches of the Kapur Trees grow close but don't touch the other trees.
Our nature guide was our fellow hiker friend, Aivee Chong. It is great to see more visitors, including international tourists, exploring the FRIM Forest Park Selangor now that it has achieved UNESCO status.
To capture the jigsaw puzzle pattern in the sky created by the Crown Shyness trees, along with the people below, I used a 24mm lens; however, it wasn't wide enough. It would be better to use a 15mm (or wider) lens instead.
If you want to visit, make sure to reserve your spot by emailing: frim_enquiry@frim.gov.my
RM150 per team for a maximum of 10 participants.

The main administration building of FRIM was established in 1929 under the direction of Dr F.W. Foxworthy (hence, one of the roads in FRIM is named after him). In another 3 years' time, that would be 100 years old.Posted by KC Leong
