Thank you so much KC for the splendid reports and lovely photos of Bidor race. It sure brings back fond memories (tears welling). I started the group called Bidor kaki runners back in 1997 and I'm thrilled to know that my regular training routes are being used for the race. The routes (one flat one for recovery runs that leads to Kampung Poh (14km total) and another undulating one for speed & strength that takes to Kampung Chang waterfall (12km total).
Sorry about the obnoxious stench and I think there may be a way to avoid going through the cemetery. I'll be back with the Bidor folks in July for a few days and we shall see.
Merci beaucoup!
Hi CP Waterman,
Yes, it is indeed a nostalgic feeling to see that one's regular training routes are being used for Bidor Run - a very successfully one. Having the two loops is great idea where the second one gives runners the challenges.
In my opinion, passing by the cemetery is okay. Maybe the organizer should talk to the factory owner to ensure that it does not smell on that important day where 'there are many visitors from all over the country' to visit Bidor... :-)
Cheers! KC
Hi KC, thanks for keeping up a great site - plenty of great pics, reports of what's gonna happen, what has happened, etc ... can be a bit intimidating for newbies like me, but inspiring nonetheless :-) Keep it up and cheers!
