CNY hikers sou gong lunch 收工宴 at Hao Xiang Chi Seafood Restaurant, Segambut 好想吃大酒楼 on Sunday, 8 Feb 2026 ... the hikers gather for a feast to celebrate the achievements of hiking whole year round, and usher in good fortune for the coming Chinese New Year.

When the grilled prawns dish was served, it so happened I was seated at my place checking the camera. So I decided to actively serve my neighbours first: one each to ChongYF (on my right); Wai Kwan, CT and Cheryl Chai. When I gave the prawn to Wai Kwan; she said in Cantonese: "KC 俾我蝦" (KC gives me the prawn). And it can also mean "KC is being bullied by me".  😀 (this photo courtesy of Wai Kwan)

The hiker buddies celebrated the Year of the Rat in the lunar new year 2020 with a dinner at Dynasty Dragon Seafood Restaurant in Atria Shopping Mall on 31 Jan 2020, Friday. It coincided on chor 7 of the the CNY - Everyone's Birthday.

CNY Hikers Dinner 2019

Chinese New Year Hikers Dinner 2019 at Dynasty Dragon Seafood Restaurant, Atria Shopping Mall, Damansara Jaya on chor 12, Saturday, 16 Feb 2019 ... It was an evening of good food, good camaraderie, and lots of fun with the loh sang, yum seng and kareoke session. To make the evening more lively, we have the Best Dress Contest.

CNY Hikers Dinner 2018

CNY Hikers Dinner 2018 at Imperial Garden Restaurant, Petaling Jaya on chor 9 of Chinese New Year, Saturday 24 Feb 2018. After hiking and running trails for a year, it is time to gather together for a different type of activity – eating, singing and laughing ... Gong Xi Fa Cai.

We also took to the opportunity to announce a few of the activities for the coming year: trail running in New Zealand, hiking at Jeju Island (South Korea), trekking at Annapurna Base Camp, trekking at Mount Rinjani, trekking at Mont Blanc, etc.
