Mizuno Wave Run - Part 2

Part 2 of photo album: 136 photos taken by Hon You with photographic equipment from Jason Lee ... please click here.
.
I believe most of you have broadband connection to Internet, whether it is at home or in office. As such, I have changed the setting of the quality of photos to 'high' now as compared to 'medium' previously. You may experience slightly longer duration in downloading of photos as each photo now is double the previous file size. Nevetheless, it is around the region of 100 KB per photo.

The cruise boat (in green light) passed by at the same time for two consecutive nights

Team Global staged the fireworks displays on Friday 31 Aug and Saturday 1 September. It was a huge contrast: there were very few spectators as compared to those nights where the competition was taking place.

Jason Lee, Weng, Steven (P5), Hon You and yours truly went to Putrajaya to support Team Global for two consecutive nights.

Most people would have known by then that the showcase conducted by Team Global lasted only six minutes. Compared to the 20 minutes displays in the competition, it takes a lot of effort and enthusiasm to go all the way to Putrajaya just to watch the 6-minute fireworks.

PICC

The showcase conducted by Team Global, however, keep the Merdeka Celebrations mood alive in between competition nights for the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (MIFC) at Putrajaya.

We actually drove our cars all the way into the basement car park of Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). Taking photos from PICC gave a different perspective and experience. It gave a panoramic view of Seri Germilang Bridge – the fireworks launch area – and the Putrajaya Boulevard as backdrop. The elevation is of almost same height as the fireworks.
.

On Friday 31 August night, the light at Seri Germilang Bridge was switched on, thus enhancing the effect of the fireworks. However, on Saturday 1 September, the light was switched off. The condition was not very good as it drizzled on Saturday night. Much like the finale, the rain stopped just before the start of event.

Good Running Posture

The photos below are extracted from Chan Wing Kai's Adidas King of the Road photo albums. These are some of the good photos taken by him. The theme of this posting is about good running posture. To view other photos, please click August Archive on the left sidebar.

Look at this African runner... not only the stride is wide, but he is floating in the air for his forward push.

Good posture - also floating in the air
